Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida conducted a programme on Traffic Awareness under the initiative taken by the Extension and Outreach cell, IMS Noida. On this auspicious occasion, Rakesh Yadav from Noida Traffic Police, and Yogesh Chauhan a Sr. Journalist were presented as the guest of honour. For the benefit of society, the programme was initiated to raise awareness about traffic and road safety.
During the session, Rakesh Yadav pointed towards the data regarding the frequency of traffic accidents. He stated, “Every citizen of our nation should adhere to road safety such as wearing a seat belt while operating a motor vehicle and a helmet when operating a two-wheeler.” To make the session more interactive and informative, he also highlighted women's safety and provided details about a women's safety application that supports them in difficult situations. He also stressed the rules and regulations pertaining to road safety, which was followed by student interaction and the handling of their questions.
Speaking on this, Dr. Kulneet Suri, Senior Director of IMS Noida, urged everyone to follow the traffic rules because even the smallest oversight can result in a tragic disaster. She said, “Such kinds of initiatives are important because they help everyone understand the value of their own and other lives. When operating the vehicle, everyone should be buckled up and take safety precautions. Let's come forward to heed these traffic regulations.”
