Bihar’s Naari Adhikaris Lead the Charge in Transforming Rural Financial Services
In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, Spice Money, India’s pioneering rural fintech revolutionizing the way Bharat banks, has launched its ‘Brave Naari Adhikari’ campaign, highlighting the inspiring journeys of Women Adhikaris who are breaking barriers and driving financial inclusion in their respective communities. The campaign features real-life stories of two inspiring women from Bihar who have embraced financial entrepreneurship, proving that with opportunity, and determination, women’s dreams can thrive in every corner of India.
One such story is of Priti Kumari from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, who embodies the spirit of financial independence and empowerment. A mother, a dedicated Naari Adhikari, and a fearless daughter of Bihar, Priti joined Spice Money to create her path toward self-reliance. She was inspired by her mother, who used to carry her to work when she was just five years old, showing her firsthand the strength and determination of a working woman. By managing cash collection, AePS transactions, and micro-ATM services, she has become a trusted financial service provider in her community. Her success has translated into personal milestones, including fulfilling her dream of owning and driving a black SUV, a symbol of her perseverance and achievements.
Another inspiring story comes from the small village of Vaishali near Kazipur Thana in Bihar, where the Sahini family has truly become a “banking family”, driving financial empowerment in their community. At the heart of this transformation is Rani Sahini, a Home Science Honours graduate and a proud Spice Money Nari Adhikari. After clearing Spice Money’s banking exam and interview, stepping into the role of an Adhikari, a decision that changed not just her life but her entire family’s future. The Sahini family’s story stands as a shining example of rural entrepreneurship and women-led financial inclusion — values that Spice Money proudly champions.
Speaking on the launch of the campaign, Kuldeep Pawar, CMO, Spice Money, said, “With the ‘Brave Naari Adhikari’ campaign, we aim to spotlight the incredible impact women adhikaris have on India’s financial landscape and position them as key drivers of financial inclusion. As a brand committed to empowering rural India, we recognize the need to amplify their stories and showcase their achievements, not just as a source of inspiration but as a catalyst for greater participation of women in the fintech ecosystem. Through this campaign, we aim to strengthen our brand’s commitment to fostering an inclusive, digitally-enabled rural economy while encouraging more women to take charge of their financial futures and become active participants in Bharat’s fintech revolution.’’
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Dilip Modi, Founder & CEO, Spice Money, said “Women are the backbone of India’s rural economy, yet they remain underrepresented in financial decision-making. At Spice Money, our mission is to change this reality by encouraging and enabling more women to actively participate in Bharat’s financial ecosystem. We believe that true financial inclusion cannot be achieved without the equal involvement of women. Through our Naari Adhikari initiative, we have seen the transformative impact of empowering women with access to digital and financial services — enabling them to become successful financial entrepreneurs. By expanding financial literacy, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating opportunities for women, we are committed to building a more equitable and self-reliant rural India. Our goal is to see more women taking charge of their economic futures and driving meaningful, lasting change, leading Bharat’s financial revolution from the frontlines,” said
Spice Money continues to champion women’s financial empowerment, with targeted training programs, access to micro-credit, and digital financial literacy initiatives aimed at onboarding more women into their 15 lakh plus strong Adhikari network. As the company expands its reach, the focus remains on creating an inclusive, sustainable financial ecosystem where women play a pivotal role in shaping India’s economic future.
